Press Pause.IUS Ceramics Exhibition |
4.9.21 - 4.24.21 |
This exhibition depicts work from the ceramics department at Indiana University Southeast. Both BFA candidates and Post-Baccalaureate students decided to openly express their individual reactions and personal experiences from the past year. This led to Press Pause, a collection of work that touches on themes ranging from domestic isolation, the covid-19 pandemic, politics, and visceral changes to our way of life. Further, the work speaks about police brutality, survival, overload of screen time, finding silver linings in hard times, natural disasters, and feelings of a lack of purpose. With a wide range of overarching concepts that relate overall, these reflections illustrate our overwhelming want or need to pause.
